Brush-Baby team up with Boots to start a revolution against under 5's tooth decay

Brush-Baby's full Baby Dental range can now be found in store and online at Boots in its o quest to improve early-years dentalcare and fight tooth decay in children. You can now find the range in Boots newly created 'Baby Dental' section in UK & Ireland.
Commenting on Brush-Baby’s recent launch, Dominique Tillen, MD, said: “Dental care mainly starts at home, often before the child has been seen by a dental professional, leaving mums wondering what to do. Our range of easy-to-use products introduces the parents to simple but effective ways of looking after baby gums and teeth transitioning through the ‘no teeth’, ‘teething’ and ‘teeth’ stages.”
The award-winning company now hopes their increased high street presence, combined with retailers’ initiatives and ‘parent power’, will put children’s dental health high on the agenda, in an effort to reverse levels of childhood dental decay, which despite being the world’s most preventable disease, sees over 500 children suffering from tooth decay hospitalised every week, usually undergoing general anaesthetic for tooth extraction.

In a move to help turn the tide of children’s tooth decay in the UK, Superdrug.com has listed the complete Brush-Baby oral hygiene range for babies, toddlers and children, with selected lines also in-store.
A recent winner of the Dental Industry Awards ‘Brand of the Year’ category, the Brush-Baby range can uniquely be used from birth to age 6+, helping parents provide oral care from toothless gums, through the teething stage and on to a full set of teeth.
The range includes DentalWipes for baby oral hygiene, Chewable Toothbrushes for teething toddlers, manual and electric toothbrushes, with a unique flossing bristle design to help clean between teeth, and child-tested and approved flavoured toothpastes with Xylitol to reduce sugar acids.
As Dominique Tillen, Managing Director of Brush-Baby explains: “Tooth decay is preventable, but because young children’s teeth are developing and they haven’t developed the skills to care for them properly, we need products that are more appropriate for this very young age group. We are delighted that Superdrug has shared our vision, and in doing so, provided parents with more choice.”

Brush-Baby donates toothbrushes to African Orphanages

In a move to help children be able to take care of their teeth not just in the UK - but worldwide, Brush-Baby has donated hundreds of their FlossBrush toothbrushes to orphanages in Nairobi. Emma Taylor the Fundraising co-ordinator for the orphanages in Africa said "We didn't know what reaction we would get from the children when they were given their very own toothbrush, but we realised when we gave it to them that they had never ever had a toothbrush in their lives. They're orphans aged between 4-6 years in the Kibera slum. It was a humbling experience to see the joy on their faces when they were shown how to use them. They now have their names written on their very own toothbrushes and have enjoyed learning to brush their teeth. They watched a video on how to do it and even then we had to show them by using actions to get them to put it in their mouths, but as kids do, they soon got the hang of it. I am certain that this will make a huge impact not only on their dental health but also to their whole well-being, and a key aspect of the education and development of these young children who are being fed and taught, not only to live healthy lives but also given a start in life, which we hope will lead to them growing up and being able to make a difference in their lives. I cannot thank Brush-Baby enough for your kind donation and the difference it is already having on these children".

Brush-Baby launches the BabySonic - world's smallest electric toothbrush for babies

Once again Brush-Baby, the children’s dental care specialist is living up to its reputation as a leader in innovation with the launch of the Brush-Baby BabySonic - the smallest electric toothbrush on the market. For parents familiar with toddlers demanding to use an electric toothbrush and for infants and toddlers who find a conventional toothbrush too large and unwieldy Brush-Baby’s new BabySonic provides a welcome solution.

The lightweight ‘baby sized’ BabySonic is significantly smaller than regular kids’ electric toothbrushes and has a soft-bristled head no bigger than the nail of a little finger.  Switch it on and you’ll be struck now gently the tiny brush head vibrates fitting comfortably around tiny ‘baby’ or ‘milk’ teeth. The easi-grip handle makes it simple for the carer to manoeuvre it over teeth and gums and a brush head that lights up helps to guide the way. Includes a 2 minute timer that helps parents teach tooth brushing with brush pulses (every 30 seconds). Once 2 minutes are complete the brush turns off.

Dominique Tillen, Founder of Brush-Baby Ltd comments: “The BabySonic really is a ‘first’ in infant and toddler dental-care. Its design and size distinguish it from anything else currently available in the marketplace and the fact that that head ‘vibrates’ and doesn’t ‘spin’ like a conventional electric toothbrush makes it gentle and pleasurable for a baby. The response to this product from parents and retailers has been overwhelming”.
