'...we use it during the day and at toothbrushing time.' KL, Orlando
Designed by a dentist, Brush-Baby is a unique teether-brush that uses chewing to help clean baby teeth and gums. Chewing comes naturally to babies, toddlers and young children and they find it easier and more comfortable to do than brushing. Brush-Baby can be used as a teether and a baby toothbrush.

Brush-Baby is soft and flexible, making it gentle on tender, teething gums and safe and comfortable in young mouths. Babies find it facinating, bendy and fun - they even like to chew the handle!
Brush-Baby's soft bristles massage gums and help to remove the sugars, starches and other foods that can lead to tooth decay from little teeth and gums. Babies and toddlers can use Brush-Baby to learn to clean their own teeth, morning and at bedtime, and this encourages good oral hygiene habits right from when they get their first tooth as well as promoting their dental health.
Chewing is great for baby teeth and gums! The saliva produced by chewing has the important function of neutrilising the acids produced by bacteria in the mouth which harm teeth. It also washes away the food particles that these bactiera love from the surface of teeth and gums. Brush-Baby encourages chewing which produces saliva so it's also great to use during the day to help keep teeth and gums clean particularly after mealtimes or sweet treats!
Brush-Baby has a unique ‘H’ cross-section head, which is designed to fit over the upper and lower dental arch. The head is filled with tiny, soft bristles, which clean both the top and bottom teeth as the teether brush is chewed or moved from side-to-side.
Its arched base covers half the mouth and is designed to reach the teeth and gums at the back of the mouth; not always easy with a conventional teether or toothbrush.
Brush-Baby is made of silicone and is soft and flexible. Unlike other teethers and toothbrushes it bends easily. This makes it safer, more comfortable for young mouths and fun for babies and young children to use. Its broad looped handle is also soft, bendable and easily held by little hands.
Brush-Baby is ideal for babies and toddlers. It can be used as a toothbrush and a teether.
Encourage your child to chew on Brush-Baby and to move it from side-to-side. You can use Brush-Baby with toothpaste, just put a suitable amount of toothpaste on the brush for your childs age. Always supervise all tooth brushing and check that teeth have been cleaned properly afterwards - including brushing them yourself!
Soft on tender gums babies will love to chew on Brush-Baby - they'll even like to chew the handle! You can also cool Brush-Baby in the fridge to provide relief for little aching gums.
Simply rinse with water and leave to dry. Brush-Baby is also dishwasher safe.
Always inspect the Brush-Baby carefully before each use, especially when your baby has teeth. Replace at the first sign of damage or wear. Brush-Baby should always be used with parental supervision.

How does Brush-Baby differ from conventional teethers?
Brush-Baby is softer and more flexible than conventional teethers. This makes it gentler on tender gums and safer to use – if your baby falls it will bend. Its unique arch shape helps reaches right to the back of the mouth so it can help to ease the teething pain caused by the molars (back teeth) as they start to come through later.
Brush-Baby is easier and more comfortable to use than a normal toothbrush because it uses chewing action which comes naturally to young children. In fact, up to the age of 4-6 years most young children don’t have the coordination brush their own teeth properly and it needs to be done for them. Brush-Baby can also reach the teeth right at the back of the mouth where is can be difficult to clean them properly.
You can use Brush-Baby in place of a dummy or comforter. It’s flexible, chewy and fun for babies and toddlers to use – great for keeping them occupied! Brush-Baby offers a really useful alternative if your child’s teeth are being affected by overuse of a dummy and if you are looking to wean them off their dummy.
Young children love to try things for themselves and Brush-Baby makes it easier for children clean their own teeth from when they get their first tooth. This helps to encourage good tooth brushing routines from early on in your child’s life. It’s is also a great way of keeping their teeth and gums clean during the day, particularly after sweet treats or even after lunch time – not just at normal brushing time (morning and night).
For children who refuse to brush their own teeth, or to have their teeth brushed, Brush-Baby offers them something different which they can do themselves and can make brushing time easier!
Brush-Baby can help to keep your child’s teeth and gums clean but you will still need to check that they have brushed their teeth properly and to supervise their all tooth brushing. It’s still a good idea to brush your children’s teeth morning and night to check that they are really clean - even if they have used Brush-Baby.
This depends on how old your child is, how many teeth they have and how often they use the Brush-Baby! In general, inspect before using and replace Brush-Baby at the first sign of wear and tear.
Brush-Baby is soft and flexible and contains no hard pieces so it’s safe and comfortable for young mouths – if your baby falls over when it is in their mouth it will bend.
Made from silicone Brush-Baby is safe to use if your child has a latex allergy.
The Brush-Baby teether brush has been independently tested in the UK. It complies with European Directive 2001/95/EC on safety and meets the required physical, chemical and mechanical standards of The General Product Safety Regulation 2005: CEN TR 13387:2004. It is also FDA approved.
Dentists think Brush-Baby is a great product and love the design. We’ve even included the babies and toddlers of dentists in UK our trials. They all said it was a great success and their children loved it.
The teether-brush has been available in the USA, Canada, Australia and Japan for a number of years. These countries are well known to have good, but expensive dental care. It’s been a real hit amongst parents in these countries who want to keep their children’s teeth clean and little mouths healthy. When we trialled Brush-Baby here in the UK we found that they felt the same! Here’s a letter from one mother in England.
Definitely! Dentists will tell you that baby (milk or deciduous) teeth are just as important as adult (or permanent) teeth. Unhealthy baby teeth and gums not only cause pain and distress to your child but can also affect their developing adult teeth. This could mean that they may need lengthy and costly dental treatment later on. See what our dentist advises about caring for baby teeth in our ‘Dental Advice Centre’.
Brush-Baby is made of silicone and its packaging of PET and paper card. All of these re-cyclable depending on the facilities that your local area has.

'Cleaning your child’s teeth should be part of their daily hygiene routine and should start from when the first tooth emerges. As a General Dental Practitioner, I sadly hear every day that most parents have great difficulty in encouraging their young ones to brush their teeth daily. I believe this stems from not having their children accustomed to the brushing effect from such as early age as 3-6months.
When I was introduced to the brush - I loved it immediately. I could instantly see the functionality, simplicity and fun babies would have brushing/squeezing the small villa-shaped silicone bristles... in fact I almost felt like chewing the brush myself!
This unique baby brush would relieve the teething times tremendously and the more they rely on the brush for this comfort the more they will become accustomed to a device in their mouths, and logically will be used to using more regularly with easy and out of their own initiative.
