'...from the moment my children started to use it they loved it!' EF, Winchester

Having a sister who is a dentist I was well aware how important it was to keep my little girl’s baby teeth and gums clean. I was already careful about what she ate, and was really keen that she formed good oral hygiene habits (including liking her dentist!) from an early age.
But tooth brush time could be a real battle! I would try to brush and she would bite on the baby toothbrush or grab it - if I could get it into her mouth at all! Bits of gauze and finger brushes were a fiddle and she hated me putting my fingers into her little mouth. At the beginning and end of a busy day it was really frustrating and I worried that I was not doing a good enough job.
What I needed was a toothbrush that would clean her teeth as she chewed on it - a chewable type toothbrush.
I started researching and after a year’s hard work I am extremely proud to offer a novel and practical teether-brush that turned out to be more than I was looking for.

We all agree that our babies, toddlers and children deserve the best.
Our children’s teeth are one of their most important possessions, they help them to eat, speak and smile. Their teeth also give their face its shape and form which affects the way our children look and how good they feel about themselves.
What we do today will help our children to have great looking teeth and healthy gums for the rest of their life. This will be good for their overall health and well being and will help to avoid unwanted, costly dental treatment.
Brush-Baby wants to help develop good oral hygiene habits from early on in children’s lives and provide parents with a practical means to do this. We also want to help parents to understand more about baby teeth and gums and how to look after them.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at the Baby Show, Earls Court. We really enjoyed meeting mums and also loved getting feedback from those of you who have already used Brush-Baby. Many thanks for all your positive comments, support and encouragement. This year we were lucky enough to exhibit alongside internationally renowned paediatric dentist Dr Cheryl Butz. With 50% of under fives in the UK having tooth decay Dr Butz came to introduce mums to her specialist children's dental practice 'Toothbeary'. Dr Butz was available for the whole show to talk to mums about their babies', toddler's and children's oral health and to answer their queries. We all appreciated her expertise. Of course, she also told mums how great Brush-Baby is!
We took Brush-Baby to the international trade fair 'Kind & Jugend' in Cologne, Germany. It was a great sucess and buyers from all over the world loved Brush-Baby. The result? Brush-Baby will now be sold in Europe, Asia, Australia and the US (our guys in the warehouse are very excited!!).
Brush-Baby is now available from LLoyds Pharmacy and just like the mums who've contacted us we're hoping that the other major retailers will follow soon so that everyone can have greater access to Brush-Baby.
Brush-Baby is now available from 200 Waitrose stores - you'll find it placed next to the teething gels. Our first stock went onto the shelves on the 1st July. So mum's can now buy Brush-Baby country wide. We've also had enquires from local councils to supply Brush-Baby to their SureStart centres - what a great idea!! The greater access we give mums to Brush-Baby the more difference we can make to babies and toddlers oral health.
JoJoMamanBebe will stock Brush-Baby! Brush-Baby will be available online at www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk and will also be appearing in their shops soon.
Thanks to everyone who visited us at the Baby Show NEC Birmingham. Again Brush-Baby proved to be a real hit with mums who kept us busy all day. We sold 1 Brush-Baby every 3 minutes and gave out so many leaflets that we ran out!! Some mums had used Brush-Baby before and came to buy again for their next teething baby or toddler. 'They, loved the Brush-Baby and we want to use it again' . Some mums had toddlers or 2 year olds who refused to brush their teeth and needed an alternative to the toothbrush. We hope that you all find that Brush-Baby helps you to keep your children's teeth and gums clean and that your children enjoy using it. Many thanks again!
Findings published in the British Dental Journal have reported that:
Experts described the data as highlighting a "major public health issue". While most of these extractions required the child to have a general anaethetic, which is risky and can be fatal to children, it could have been avoided because tooth decay is preventable by regular brushing and check ups.
The editor of 'I'm Pregnant' magazine was so impressed with Brush-Baby that it features in the 'Check it Out' section of this quarter's edition and as a top 10 performer Mothercare has approach us wishing to bring the Brush-Baby into it's stores.
Every month more baby shops, dentists and pharmacists sell the Brush-Baby so it is now becoming widely available to help mums look after their baby's and toddler's teeth. MaCabes Pharmacy in Ireland now stocks Brush-Baby in it's 21 stores throughout Ireland.
Leading paediatirc dentist Dr Cheryl Butz endorses the Brush-Baby! Dr Butz was so impressed with the Brush-Baby that she has a supply at her specialist children's dental practice - Toothbeary - in Richmond. Have a look at our 'what dentists say about the Brush-Baby' to read Dr Butz's comments.
We took Brush-Baby to the Dental Show where it was a great hit with dentists and hygenists. Dentists are often asked by mothers when having their check up what to use to clean their baby's new teeth and dentists who visited our stand said that they would definately recommend the Brush-Baby. One dentist commented that it was THE BEST INNOVATION he had seen at the show. Wow!.
Brush-Baby goes live on Mothercare! The response has been great and is keeping our warehouse very busy! We're also getting calls from Dental Surgerys to stock Brush-Baby for their patients- the dentists love this product for teething and brushing little teeth.
Brush-Baby and Prolonged Breast Feeding. Brush-Baby supported the local NCT Breast Feeding campaign in Winchester. Why breast feeding? Well, the message from dentists is that if you choose to prolonged breast feed make sure that you keep your baby's teeth really clean! Breast milk has alot of sugar in it which can harm little teeth. Brush-Baby provides a perfect solution to this problem: as babies chew on the Brush-Baby it's soft bristles gently surround teeth and gums helping to remove sugars and keep little mouths really clean - anytime!
Brush-Baby appears in the December issue of Nursery Today's focus on pacifiers and soothers - 'The Dummy Run'. What's the connection? Well, Brush-Baby is regarded as an excellent product to soothe distressed babies and not only when they are teething. Our mothers agree! Brush-Baby not only helps to soothe teething pain but also helps to keep babies occupied and distracted. Beccy from Hampshire says "I give my baby boy Brush-Baby when I change his nappy, it keeps him so occupied I don't have a fight on my hands any more!...". Of course Brush-Baby is great for their oral health too!
